Chapter 39: Qin Kuai
Just as Shao Wen Jun came out to complain, Lin Feng felt a gust of cold wind which was caused by a weapon cutting through the air. Lin Feng immediately evaded to the side, however, he was not quick enough and was cut on his left arm. Thankfully the injury was not that severe and was merely a flesh wound.
“Qin Kuai!”
As he turned around, he saw Qin Kuai standing at his previous position with a knife in his hand.
“Hand over the green pellet!”
Seeing how he had not managed to kill Lin Feng, he said this in a very sunken manner.
“Why should we kill it to you? This class four zombie was killed by Brother Lin and I, what right do you have to it?”
Dong Wu was upon seeing the knife in Qin Kuai’s hand. After all, he was still a cultivator. Despite having stayed in a base for a long time, he was still afraid of cultivators.

Shao Wenjun was worried. Seeing how Qin Kuai and Lin Feng were in their fighting stances, he quickly stepped forward and said this.

An average person like you?” As Qin Kuai said this, his eyes never left the green pellet in Lin Feng’s hand.

After Qin Kuai finished speaking, Lin Feng clearly felt the rapid increase in his energy fluctuations, finally settling at that of a level 5 cultivator.

But it looks like that’s not needed anymore, this is the perfect moment. ”
Staring at the green pellet in Lin Feng’s hand, Qin Kuai laughed.
If he took the green pellet and awakened his soul crystal, his strength would greatly increase. This way, he would safeguard his survival in this apocalyptic world. He originally thought that he would have to train for several years before being able to kill a class four zombie. He did not expect that this level 4 cultivator that he bumped into would have killed a class four zombie. This to Qin Kuai, was as though an ordinary meat pie had dropped out of the sky.
Listening to what Qin Kuai said, the simple and honest Shao Wenjun’s trembled in anger. Although Qin Kuai was not a close friend, Shao Wenjun sincerely regarded him as a friend. He didn’t think that just for an object, that Qin Kuai would become so hostile towards his benefactor. This angered him greatly.

A minute had passed. The two had stopped. Everyone could see that Lin Feng was barely injured, whereas Qin Kuai was covered in wounds, mostly at his vital points.
“A…a dancer…”
These were Qin Kuai’s last words.
Perhaps because he was hiding in the base for so long, that his combat abilities became bad. It could also be because Lin Feng was progressive. When compared to the middle-aged man who kidnapped Dong Wu and Dou Yuxin, Lin Feng felt that Qin Kuai was comparably weaker.
“Sorry, Lin Feng. ”
Shao Wenjun stood in front of Lin Feng and lowered his head. Although Shao Wenjun was older than Lin Feng, this time it seemed as though he was a child who had made a mistake.

Solving this matter, Lin Feng and his group of five moved off once again, driving in the direction of Nanshan Base.
As they got closer to Nanshan Base, the road became better. After nearly an hour, Lin Feng realised that on the sides of the road were stockades. In the stockades were various farmlands, with people occasionally walking around with a gun.
This should be the farming region outside Nanshan. These people were base guards and were protecting the crops. Seeing the scene before him, Lin Feng thought this.
Zhan Lang base also had some farms, however, there were zombies scattered everywhere. Looking at the map on his apocalypse watch, Nanshan Base was about five kilometers away. Ever since he saw the farmlands, he stopped seeing zombies in the open country.
It seems like Nanshan’s base management was much better than that of Zhan Lang base, Lin Feng thought to himself.
After ten minutes, the group finally arrived at the entrance of Nanshan Base.
