Round 3.3

Edited by WhitesRabbit

The five new recruits entered the martial training hall and found that its interior was a bit like a Japanese Dojo. It had tatami flooring that was cold to the touch and, like a usual Dojo that appeared in TV shows, there was a calligraphy piece mounted on the wall. It said in bold script police spirit.

They had thought that no one was inside so they planned to laze around a bit at first before getting to work. Suddenly, though, they that noticed someone was standing in the corner.

The way the sun shone through the window and landed on the person made them almost look like an illusion.

Lin Jun’s keen eyes immediately noticed who the person was. Wasn’t she the loli senior sister?

“Senior sister!”

This time she dressed exactly like the new recruits, with a vest and overalls, and was standing bare-footed with her hair tied in a high ponytail on the tatami. This revealed her beautiful jawline and white neck making her look like a jade carving.

XiaoXiao turned her body around, slightly glancing at them. Her voice sounded out monotonously, “Who wants to come over first?”

“Huh?” What did she mean?

She drew closer to them. “Well, I suppose it's all of you then!”

Blanks expression covered all of the recruits’ faces: they still couldn’t grasp what was going on.

This senior sister would be sparring with them?

XiaoXiao didn’t like to do a haphazard job, her expression getting colder and colder. “I’m about to punch!”

When she finished speaking, she had already thrown a punch at them. The 5 of them were very flustered at first; but, as they were all elites, they quickly adapted to what was happening.

XiaoXiao's every move was very fast and precise. Her vicious attacks made it so the new recruits could only defend with no chance to attack.

“Senior sister… senior sister…” gasped Mo, one of the new recruits who obviously couldn’t keep up with her attacks. His face was very flushed and it wasn’t because he was being beaten by a girl. In the military, a spar between a male and female was common but that couldn’t compare to one with this senior sister. Her moves were incomparably ruthless.

After being spun in a whirlwind, Mo Cong was ruthlessly thrown to the ground and had to crawl in attempts to stand back up.

“Your stance is loose!” XiaoXiao critiqued.

She turned back, her cold eyes sweeping the remaining four. Her attacks became even faster than before and a recruit named Zhang ZhiYong was shortly caught on his neck. XiaoXiao had balled her fist and aimed for his chin.

Zhang ZhiYong fell to his knees while holding his chin in tears.

XiaoXiao glanced at him declaring, “Your fist is weak!”

In the blink of an eye two people already lay on the ground. The remaining three looked at XiaoXiao as if they were facing a great enemy. They immediately took a few steps back and started circling around her. They didn’t dare to make the first move.

The most robust one among them, Chen PeiFeng, noticed XiaoXiao starting to make a move towards Lin Jun. He knew that this was his chance and quickly made a move towards her. As XiaoXiao was nimbler than Chen PeiFeng, she was able to immediately redirect her punch towards him. She sent her punch towards his left legs which quickly made him lose his balance. Right at the moment he was thrown off balance, XiaoXiao’s hands grabbed his head while she simultaneously threw a knee-kick.

Chen PeiFeng was instantly flung to the ground. A faint voice immediately entered his ears. “Your muscle is uneven making you very unbalanced.”

In the end, only Lin Jun and Ma JianMing were left and they quickly came to an agreement that they would attack together. One would lure the enemy and one would sneak up and attack from behind. Yet, it felt like XiaoXiao had eyes on her back: she immediately noticed there was someone crouching behind her. The two people continuously received her strong punches as it fell upon their faces. When she had the chance, she immediately grabbed Ma JianMing and tossed him over her shoulder.

When Ma JianMing was thrown down he was instantly dazed. Then he heard XiaoXiao’s voice say, “Your physical strength is lacking.” but his lungs felt like exploding because of her.

Now Lin Jun was left alone. Just as XiaoXiao had thought, he was the best out of all the new recruits. He didn’t fall back after seeing Ma JianMing's defeat and instead kept attacking.

In the face-to-face melee fight between them, Lin Jun had an advantage in height and his strength and speed were also well balanced. He kept slamming his attacks at XiaoXiao; but, suddenly, he accidentally aimed at XiaoXiao’s chest… For just a moment his mind blanked: he didn’t expect that this loli senior sister’s assets were that impressive. His face was blushing red. What an amazing chest!

As he became absent-minded, XiaoXiao directly smashed him down and locked his right hand. He immediately fell to the ground. XiaoXiao’s strength was truly powerful so he quickly cried out painfully, “Senior sister… spare me!”

She released his hand as she wanted to give her evaluation, but Lin Jun quickly sat up while his face was still red and said, “I think… I did good enough.”

XiaoXiao didn’t even glance at him as she turned around and said, “Your concentration is bad, so it’s still bad review, bad review!”

Lin Jun's face was bright red and smoke was coming from it.

XiaoXiao straightened up her vest as she looked at the 5 people who were struggling on the tatami. “Get up, and do it again!”

“Please no, senior sister we will obey you! Really!”

In the previous 5-1 sparring they were already utterly defeated until their bones felt like they were shattered.

“Get up!” XiaoXiao’s stern voice roared.

The 5 people were struggling to get up from the tatami. From outside the door, the 3 veteran members were peeking in as they tried to hold their laughs.

The training hall was filled with screaming voices. The sounds of heavy objects being thrown down one after another accompanied by miserable shrieks continuously rang out. From outside the door, Old Wei listened in with great pleasure. Zhang Wu and Wei Xiao, on the other hand, shrank their necks in fear every time they heard a scream, until they couldn’t bear to hear it anymore.

It could be summed up in 6 words — it was such a tragic sight!

After a while, the hall was finally quiet and XiaoXiao walked out with an expressionless face.

The three people instantly stood up straight and slightly raised their right hands to motion her through.

XiaoXiao simply ignored them and left.

After making sure that she was already far away, the 3 people finally went inside.

There the 5 new recruits were stacked neatly, like a human pyramid, on the tatami. They continuously screamed out in sorrow and grief and cried for their fathers and mothers.

“How was it? Did you finally taste true suffering?” came Old Wei’s voice absolutely full of gloating.

“Senior brother, who is that senior sister? She’s truly powerful.” Lin Jun asked as he gasped for air.

Zhang Wu slapped his head immediately. “That sister is, of course, your instructor! Your martial arts instructor!”

“Ah!” No words could fully explain the shock the 5 new recruits felt at that moment.

Ma JianMing then raised a small issue. “But senior brother, she looks like a minor!”

“What minor! She is 26 years old!”

Old Wei quickly added fuel to the fire. “You guys actually called your instructor a loli. Really, kids these days…” he deliberately left his words hanging, but others could clearly hear his true meaning.

Wei Xiao smiled happily and slapped some new recruits on their shoulders. “I’ll formally introduce you to the most famous person in the Black Panthers, Duanmu XiaoXiao, Xiao (皛) meaning the sky is cloudless. She is your martial instructor. People call her The Unmoving Beauty."

“The Unmoving Beauty?”

“When you don’t make any move, she won’t do anything. If you do move, she would… ahh…” Wei Xiao put his hands on his hips, looking very proud. Looking like he was talking about a young lady from his family. “Yu XiuLuo: have you heard of her? XiaoXiao’s just like the white-haired witch Yu XiuLuo!”

Someone from the new recruits interjected, “Senior, the white-haired witch is called Yu LuoSha. Yu XiuLuo is a Chinese historical figure. You made a mistake!”

Then loud throwing sounds were heard again from the hall…

Ahh what a tragic day!
