Jiang Yu walked over, opened the car door, and got in.
The voice of the man in the car was deep and pleasant. “I heard.”
“Huh?”
“You got first place in the monthly exam. Your results are pretty good.”
Jiang Yu did not ask him how he had heard the news which had just been announced.
She replied calmly, “It’s alright.”
Feng Linbai handed her a document. “This is for you.”
“What’s this?”
“It’s a reward for you.”
Jiang Yu did not bother to look and rejected it immediately, “I don’t need it.”
Feng Linbai handed it over again. “You should take a look at what it is.”
Jiang Yu had no choice but to accept it. She scanned it and asked after a moment of silence, “Why are you giving me this?”
Feng Linbai replied nonchalantly, “I’ve already said, it’s a reward.”
Jiang Yu rephrased, “What I mean is, why are you giving me a reward?”
“I can give you anything if I wish to do so. Do I need any other reason?”
Feng Linbai continued, “However because you’re not 18 yet, I’m unable to officially transfer it to you. I’ll just leave this contract with you for now. When you turn 18, you can sign your name at any time.”.
“To show my sincerity, I’ve already asked someone to inform all the employees of this restaurant that their boss has changed hands. They’ve even sent over your name and photo.”
“So, from their point of view, you’re already their boss.”
Yes, that’s right.
Feng Linbai had handed Jiang Yu a transfer letter. He wanted to transfer a restaurant to her.
Jiang Yu has heard the name of this restaurant before. She heard that the food in this restaurant was very good and was pretty famous in Beijing. On normal days, the private rooms in the restaurant needed a three-day advanced booking, so forget about public holidays and special occasions.
For holidays like the spring festival, one might not be able to book a table even a month in advance.
Jiang Yu asked, “Have you asked anyone else for their opinion on this matter?”
Feng Linbai understood what she meant and explained, “It’s not Feng family property, it’s mine. So, it’s completely up to me. It has nothing to do with the Feng family, you don’t have to worry.”
Jiang Yu knew he had his own power to rely on even if he left the Feng family. However, to give her a restaurant just because she did well in her monthly exams. Wasn’t that a little much?

“If you say that it’s a reward for curing your eyes, I can accept it.”

After a while, she replied, “Eating is very important.”
Feng Linbai turned his body. His elbow leaned against the cushioned armrests of the seats. He lazily supported his head with one hand and said in a relaxed yet solemn manner, as if making some kind of promise, “Believe me, I will give you a better… reward.”
He said the last word clearly and deliberately, his voice going up several notches.
However, straight-laced Jiang Yu didn’t notice it. She thought for a moment and asked, “Don’t tell me you want to transfer all your restaurants to me? There’s no need.”
Feng Linbai: “…”
This response killed the mood a little.
He chuckled. Forget it, there was no rush.
“It will be worth far more than this. You’ll find out when the time is right.”
