Let's all CALM DOWN Translator: Sae

Early the next morning, Shi Hui was still asleep on the bed while Bai Luo Yin on the other hand patiently endures this seemingly insufferable night. Thinking about how things had turn out, hunger was the first thing to strike him first. He gets off the bed, with the intention of heading out first for a quick breakfast before returning to wake Shi Hui up.

Upon pushing the door open, Bai Luo Yin nearly lost his breath as astonishment quickly ravage his face in paleness.

In front of him were loads of cigarette stubs covering the floor. His eyes shifted to a lone figure crouching against the corner of the wall. It was all to obvious that this person was had remain awaken for the entire night.

Gu Hai……

Gu Hai's complexion possessed a relatively bluish green shade. He was unshaven, and his stubbly, a faint shadow, emphasized the sickly touch of restlessness, was still painted on his face as he get up and stands in front of Bai Luo Yin. He blinks a few times, trying to shake the tiredness away but still his obsidians eyes were lifeless, eschewed of all vitality.

"You're awake?"

Bai Luo Yin 's expressions were hollow as he nods his head.

Seven days had passed by without seeing each other. And, although, Gu Hai had not taken the initiative to contact Bai Luo Yin, the painful agony of missing him, had long penetrated into every organ and fiber of his being. The instant his eyes falls on Bai Luo Yin, all reasons and misgivings swiftly flew away. Whether or not Bai Luo Yin had forgiven him, did not matter any longer. All Gu Hai could think of was the pain of not having been able to hold this person. He takes one large step forward and immediately pulls Bai Luo Yin into a tight hug.

"Come back home." Gu Hai said sincerely, his voice both soft and warm.

Hearing those words, Bai Luo Yin did not say anything and remains still on the same spot. His entire body suddenly stiffened. So much so that, it was even more numb than Gu Hai’s who had stayed outside the whole night.

"I'm going to gather your belongings for you."

Bai Luo Yin's arm quickly stretches out toward Gu Hai, blocking him from the door.

With a gentle smile embracing the lines of his lips, Gu Hai's hand pinches Bai Luo Yin's cheeks for a few seconds.

"Are you still angry? Can't you offer me a smile after seeing me crouch here all night?"

Gu Hai…

Everything else flew out of Bai Luo Yin's head as that name repeated over and over. In mere second, he felt an emptiness overtake him,  depleting all the emotions he once held.

Looking at Bai Luo Yin’s expression, Gu Hai could sense that there was something troubling his mind. However, he did not question him since he believed that Bai Luo Yin was still angry at him even until now. That was what he had believed, until he hears an indistinct sound traveling through the room out toward the him

"Bai Luo Yin."

Shi Hui has finally rouse from her slumber and after detecting that Bai Luo Yin was no longer beside her, she raise her head from the pillow. She looks over towards the door, and noticing that it was slightly ajar, she couldn’t help but to call out.

In the twinkling of an eye, the color of Gu Hai's face changes. He stood with glaring eyes, parted lips, and a deathly pallor on his worn out face. His eyes made their way toward Bai Luo Yin for a split second before he kicks the front door open.

Hearing the suddenly loud thud, Shi Hui sat on the bed and forcibly pulls the blanket to cover her chest. A huge portion of her bright and clear back were still exposed, along with, her shoulders and arms. She was conscious of the fact that there another person, a stranger perhaps, just outside of the bedroom's door. Panic was evident in her expression as she hastily drags the blanket over before quickly getting back on the bed.

Gu Hai's cold and detached eyes gradually shifts from the bedroom to Bai Luo Yin's face.

At this moment, the quietness that settled heavily in the room was so magnificent that it would cause anyone to tremble with fear.

After a long while, Gu Hai faintly said, "Last night at around 12:00AM midnight, I finally discovered your exact location. When I got here, the lights were already turned off. I afraid of disturbing you in case you were sleeping so I crouched out there and waited for you instead."

When Bai Luo Yin finally speaks, the sounds of his voice was low and broken.

"Then, why didn't you ring the doorbell?"

"I was afraid the could would disturb your sleep."

"Then, why didn't you leave and waited until later?"

"I was afraid that if I came back in the morning, you would have left already."

Bai Luo Yin remains quiet.

Gu Hai turns his head and begins to walk away.

Seeing this, Bai Luo Yin abruptly takes several huge strides forward and chases after Gu Hai without a second though. His hand latches onto Gu Hai's arm, securing them under his own.

Gu Hai tries to calm his heart down before he turns his head back around, but even then a gloomy and sinister air was still hovering above him.

"Bai Luo Yin, I advise you. This time you have to let me go. I don't want to curse you or  hit you. If you don't want me to suffer any longer, then please let your hands go."

At the moment that he allows his hands to release Gu Hai’s, Bai Luo Yin's heart became dead and hollow as if  hopelessness has successfully ensnared him.

When he returns to the room, Shi Hui had already finished dressing up. She sat at the edge of the bed, waiting for Bai Luo Yin. She could not help but questioned Bai Luo Yin as she watched him walk in, "The person just now, was it Gu Hai?"

Bai Luo Yin nodded his head and carried his luggage out of the room. Shi Hui followed closely behind him.

She noticed that Bai Luo Yin was in an extremely foul mood. And, the reason for his foul mood, without a doubt, was due to Gu Hai. As for what had just happened, Shi Hui can slightly guess.

After they left the hotel, Bai Luo Yin turned around to look at Shi Hui and said, "Call a taxi and go back home."

"I want to accompany you a bit longer," said Shi Hui, seeking out any objections that Bai Luo Yin may have.

Bai Luo Yin did not have any objections to it. To say it even more accurately, in this instant, whether Shi Hui was beside him or not, held no significant.

Shi Hui noticed that Bai Luo Yin did not have anything to say, so she took it as he had tacitly approved of her request. She was more than exhilarated as she walked beside him, joyfulness graced her entirety.

The two walked for a long while, neither said anything. For the sake of breaking down this awkward situation, Shi Hui look inquisitively at Bai Luo Yin and asked tentatively, "Could it be that Gu Hai doesn't like me?"

Bai Luo Yin murmured back, "No, he just doesn't like me, that's all."

Shi Hui sighed, "I don't know how things are between the two of you, however I do think, you should forgive each other a bit, so that any misunderstandings can be resolved. And you, you're too withdrawn. You've always suppressed all your feelings and problems in your heart. If you can open your heart a little, I think that you can get much more than what you have now."

Actually, Bai Luo Yin did not hear a single word Shi Hui had just said. His heart was very calm, so calm that he could only hear the subtle and minute sounds.

He suddenly turned his head; two grassy figures disappeared into the end of the street.

"What's wrong?" asked Shi Hui.

Bai Luo Yi faintly replied, "Nothing."

They walked along until they reached the alleyway. The strange footsteps behind him still lingered about around his ears.

Shi Hui stood straight, smiled and said, "I'm returning home now, you rest up."

Bai Luo Yin raised his hand and flagged down a tax for Shi Hui.

"When you get back, don't forget to take some medicine," instructed Bai Luo Yin.

Shi Hui smiled and nodded her head, speaking again, "I'll come and look for you early in the morning."

From the start until now, Bai Luo Yin did not hear what Shu Hui had said. Once the car left, his eyes wandered back and forth at his surroundings. He could no longer see those two suspicious shadows from before. Bai Luo Yin hazily speculated.

Perhaps, since I haven't slept all night…it's making me go crazy and hallucinate.

He continued to ponder as he went into the alleyway and made his way toward the door of his house.

The next day, an incident finally occurred.

Shi Hui was afraid that Bai Luo Yin had forgotten their arrangement so she took a great extent into a messaging him as a reminder. Bai Luo Yin, on the other hand, simply did not see that particular message.

His tired and worn out spirit, along with the event of last night had exhausted him to such low a degree, that he quickly passed out from fatigue. He slept soundly until early the next morning, a phone call beckoned him from slumber.

"Hello?"

From the other end of the phone, he could only hear noises and several voices jumbled together. Bai Luo Yin can almost make out Shi Hui's voice, however, it was very vague and obscure. He called out into the phone again, but there were still no definite replies. Bai Luo Yin had even guessed that Shi Hui might have, unintentionally, pressed the call button, but then he heard the explosive voice of a man cursing about. Afterwards, the person immediately hung up.

Bai Luo Yin jerked and sobered up, consciousness took over.

He swiped through the messages in his phone and discovered that the last message that Shi Hui had sent him was early in the morning at 7: OOAM.

She said, "I'm already at the alleyway of your house, come out."

He swiped through his previous messages again and saw that last night Shi Hui had also sent him another message, reminding him that she would come by early in the morning.

Bai Luo Yin looked at his watch, it was already 7:30AM.

He dialed Shi Hui's phone number once more, but in the end, it still did not go through.

Bai Luo Yin suddenly remembered those two sneaky shadows that followed behind him yesterday.

He quickly put on his clothes. He hasn't even washed his face yet as he flew out the doors.

The morning's fog was very thick, so thick that within the span of three meters, he couldn't even see a single shadow at all. He went from one alleyway to the next and still he couldn't find Shi Hui's figure. He became a bit flustered and screamed several times into the open space and still he didn't hear any replies. A cold chill sprouted in his heart. His steps hastened as he searched in every nook and and cranny, finally, he heard the distinct sound of a scream.

Bai Luo Yin followed the voice, and before long he discovered, not too far ahead, the shadows of three figures. The scene in front him caused all the blood in his entire body to rise.

Shi Hui was pushed against the corner of a wall. Her hair was disheveled and her clothes were torn to the point that only a few pieces remained in tack. Two masked men, dressed in black clothing, were practically on her. They hurled insults and threats, while carrying out obscene behaviors toward her. Shi Hui struggled for a bit, but not before one of the masked men kicked her in the stomach.

Bai Luo Yin charged forward, and crazily wrestled the two down. During the scuffle, Bai Luo Yin noticed that these two men barely laid their hands on him. Their target was Shi Hui. Even when Bai Luo Yin kicked them several times, the two just silently endured it. Their cruel and ferocious hands stretched out toward Shi Hui.

Bai Luo Yin captured one of the man's wrist. He wanted to kick the guy in the crotch but, as a result of the struggle, the cuff of the man's black sleeve torn apart and exposed was a grass green shirt.

No one would wear this type of green colored shirt with this kind of texture, besides a military's personnel.

Bai Luo Yin suddenly jolted to a realization, as he remembered the look that Gu Hai gave him before he left.

"If I, Gu Hai, were to be heartless, you will be terrified for the rest of your life."

Perhaps, what the eyes perceived were not necessarily the truth.

Gu Hai pondered for the entire night. Besides this pretense, no other reasons would cause him to endure everything for an entire twenty-four hours. He realized that, rather than being suspicious and struggle from the fear of being betrayed, it would be better to choose to trust, even if he had to pretend to be naïve.

Shi Hui was the only person lying on the bed while Bai Luo Yin was fully clothed. Perhaps, this girl was taking advantage of the situation. She knew he, himself, would go there, so she intentionally fabricated the scene. Perhaps, from the beginning until the end, Bai Luo Yin had not laid on that bed.

Even though, there were two pillows arranged on the bed…even though, it was evident, that Bai Luo Yin's head had left an impression on it…

But, he can not think like this, because if he did, he would lose. He will, absolutely, never allow this kind of outcome to emerge!

As a result, Gu Hai decided that he wanted to go and find Bai Luo Yin. He wanted to say everything and let it all be out in the open. He can not give that girl even the tiniest bit of opportunity. She does not deserve Bai Luo Yin. And also…he'd hate to let it end like this.

The will to fight, reignited in his soul.

Gu Hai went into the bathroom to wash his face before he faintly heard the sound of the doorbell ringing. He used his hands to wipe at his face several times before he made his way toward the front door, opening it.

The person standing on the other side of the door, was Bai Luo Yin.

At that moment, happiness welled up in Gu Hai's heart, consuming him. If Bai Luo Yin was willing to initiate an explanation, he would not have to put up such a brazenly defiant face.

"Who said you can come back?"

A joking tone enveloped his words.

It was as if nothing had happened.

His expression was completely different from yesterday.

Originally, when he stood outside of the door, in his heart, Bai Luo Yin had wanted to clear things out with Gu Hai, to absolve the misunderstandings. But, Gu Hai's current mood made it too obvious. So obvious…that Bai Luo Yin could not find any reasons, at all, to side with him.

"Those were your people, right?"

Gu Hai was baffled, "What people?"

Suddenly, Bai Luo Yin strode into the room, and violently slammed Gu Hai against the wall.  A cruel and heartless gaze collided into Gu Hai's dark pupils.

"Were they the men you found to follow the two of us? You found those people to violate Shi Hui right?"

Gu Hai also flared up, "When did I find people to violate her?"

Bai Luo Yin's face was expressionless as he said, "Gu Hai, you're too cruel."

As if being awakened, Gu Hai abruptly came to a realization.

Everything was clear now, so clear, that it poured down on him hard.

It was only until now, did Gu Hai finally understood what Shi Hui meant when she said those words.

"You can't beat me."

"Gu Hai, you really aren't a normal person. You've really made me look at you in a new light now."

Gu Hai's huge hand sunk into Bai Luo Yin's neck before he quietly questioned: "You think I did it?"

Bai Luo Yin's eyes did not focus on anything.

"I asked you. Did you think I did it?" bellowed Gu Hai in anger.

Still Bai Luo Yin did not respond.

Gu Hai angrily clutched Bai Luo Yin's neck until his face became purple. His breaths, were all the more, sporadic.

And all along, that pair of stubborn, unwavering orbs, still remained unshaken.

Gu Hai's heart became completely and utterly cold.

"You came looking for me to take revenge? Then you better strike fast before it's too late. Take advantage of the fact that I am still reluctant to fight back. Direct that bit of grievances that she received, back at me."

Bai Luo Yin stiffened stature, steadfastly stood his ground, unwavering.

"You don't value this opportunity huh? Then let me tell you right now. After today, you, Bai Luo Yin are just like any other person on the street. You want to hit, curse me, those will all be a fantasy. Before, I let you do whatever you want, not because I was a weak coward, it was because I love you. Now, I have realized that you…are not worth it."

"Get the fuck out," said Gu Hai indifferently.

Bai Luo Yin's stiffened legs shifted toward the door. Every step, strummed in Gu Hai's ears and gripped tightly at his heart.

"Bai Luo Yin, you remember this. I was the one that let you leave. From this day on, there's nothing between us! When you’ve come to realize the truth…even if you were to cry and kneel on the ground, begging me…I, Gu Hai, won't even give you single a glance!"
