After he had met with Shi Hui, Gu Hai phoned Bai Luo Yin countless times, but every single time, he was unable to get through. With a tightened heart consumed by apprehension, he immediately rushed toward Bai Luo Yin's house.
Bai Han Qi had merely gotten out of work. His buttocks, that were planted on the bench, hadn't even warmed up yet before he hastily stood up, upon seeing Gu Hai.
He jubilantly walked toward Gu Hai. Finally, his eyes concentrated on a particular spot behind Gu Hai for a few seconds. He couldn't see Bai Luo Yin's shadow at all.
"Yin Zi didn't come with you?"
Gu Hai knew that Bai Luo Yin, had all along, hid from Bai Han Qi, just for the sake of not letting Bai Han Qi be worried. Gu Hai had no intention of telling him the truth.
"He told me to come get some things for him."
The disappointment in Bai Han Qi's eyes gradually faded away before he quickly nodded his head, a bright smile displayed itself on his face, "Oh, then quickly go and get it."
In the room, Gu Hai casually flipped through some things then quickly went out, looked at Bai Han Qi and said, "Uncle, can I borrow your cellphone for a second? I want to give Yin Zi a call, I can't find the things he wanted me to look for."
"This child, there's no need to hesitate in borrowing anything from me. It's in my room, on the cabinet beside my bed. Just go ahead and get it yourself."
After Gu Hai got Bai Han Qi's cell phone, he quickly gave Bai Luo Yin another phone call.

After Bai Luo Yin received the phone call, his mood remained unsettled. He had guessed that Gu Hai would, without a doubt, tell Bai Han Qi the actual situation. With nervousness in his heart, Bai Luo Yin walked toward the door and looked through the peephole that was embedded in it.
Shi Hui's face emerged in his line of sight.
The moment he opened the door, an indescribable sense of frustration swept across his heart.
After Shi Hui had entered the room, her entire body shivered. Her beautiful face now painted in arrays of purple from the coldness. Both hands were frozen to the point where she couldn't stretch them out. Her hair was somewhat disheveled and the beautiful hair's accessories that once adorned it, now hung crookedly on her head. A thin layer of mist shrouded her pupils made her look even more miserable.
"You…" Bai Luo Yin was at a loss for words, "Quick, hurry in quickly."
Shi Hui quickly ran towards the heater and placed her hands above them. Bai Luo Yin hastened to turn the heater on before he poured a cup of hot water for her.
"Warm up for a bit," Bai Luo Yin passed the cup to Shi Hui.
Shi Hui drank several gulps of hot water until her shivering legs finally returned back to normal.
"How did you find this place?"
Shi Hui, in low spirit and laden with anxiety said, "I've been looking for you for several days' now. I searched everywhere and inquired about you, afterwards, I went and searched all the nearby internet cafés, hotels, nightclubs. I continued to look and look until I found this place…I even thought that you were hiding from me so you…"
Shi Hui talked until she started to cry, she couldn't keep silent anymore as tears slid down her cheeks.
Bai Luo Yin watched as Shi Hui used her frozen red hands to wipe away those grieves' stricken tears.
Bai Luo Yin actually felt a bit guilty as he grabbed a towel, passed it over to her and softly said, "Silly girl, don't cry. It's not because of you."
Shi Hui stretched both of her hands out and latched onto him, hugging Bai Luo Yin's waist before she leaned her head onto his shoulder and cried out.
She continued to cried, "If you really hate me, you can tell me and I can leave right now. Just don't hide from me like this? You know how much I worried about you?"
Guilt and touched, those two emotions charged into Bai Luo Yin's heart. His hands lightly patted Shi Hui's back, coxing her, "Don't cry anymore. I'm really not blaming you for anything. If you continue crying like this, your eyes won't be there anymore tomorrow."
Shi Hui slowly, but surely, stopped sobbing as she helplessly glanced at Bai Luo Yin, with an embarrassing yet coy air, she asked, "Can you put a cool towel over my eyes for me?"
Bai Luo Yin nodded his head and went to get a wet towel before returning.
Shi Hui obediently closed her eyes. Once the wet and cool towel made contact with her eyes, her thick lashes quivered for a second. This subtle behavior would absolutely attract anyone's attention.
"Before you've always made me mad until I cried, and even then, you wouldn't coax me. You would wait until I'd stopped crying before resting a cool towel over my eyes."
Bai Luo Yin suddenly recalled that period of time. It was beautiful. It seemed as if, it had only happened yesterday. But now, when that person once again sat directly in front of him, everything, on the contrary, became very distant.
What silently cause things to have changed?
"Okay, all done," Bai Luo Yin placed the towel down and indifferently said, "You warm up for a little longer and I'll take you home afterwards."
Shi Hui's face assume congealed for a second. Her voice permeated an aggrieved tone, exasperation evident in her words.
"What time is now? My cousins had all went to sleep already. Who would keep watch for me huh?"
"Did you searched this late everyday, before returning home?"
"Not really," Shi Hui smiled bashfully, "Normally, I would return home around eight or nine o'clock. I've searched in almost all of the places around this neighborhood already. It's only these last couple of places left for today, so it got a little later."
After she ceased talking, she sneezed.
Bai Luo Yin touched Shi Hui's forehead. Tension settled on his face, "You might have a little fever. I'll take you to the hospital."
"I won't go. You know I hate the hospital. I'm fine, I just need to wrap up in a blanket and sleep. I'll be well again after."
Shi Hui's words had already been said to this degree, if Bai Luo Yin rushed her out again, it would be extremely unreasonable. Bai Luo Yin, inevitably sighed and stood up, "Then you can sleep here, I will go reserve another room."

Bai Luo Yin did not raise his head, “Doesn't matter, you sleep however you like."
On the double bed, Shu Hui occupied only a small portion of it, leaving a large space on the other side. Even when she couldn't withstand fatigue any longer and fell asleep first, Bai Luo Yin still didn't lay on the bed.
In the dim light of the night, Bai Luo Yin stood alone on the balcony and smoked one cigarette after another.

"Ahhh, I'm so exhausted. It took us a lot longer to find him since the officers here aren't familiar with this kind of work."
Gu Hai attentively stared at the screen. He silently made a mental note of the address before turning to face Deputy Zhang. With a smile plastered on his face, he said, "Thank you, Uncle Zhang."
Before even hearing what Deputy Zhang had to say, he immediately charged out and drove directly to the hotel.
By the time Gu Hai hastily arrived at the hotel, it was already a little past midnight. Time had really sauntered by quite quickly. He went straight to the reception desk to confirm Bai Luo Yin's exact room number. As it turned out, it was the precise location that Deputy Zhang had informed him. Gu Hai felt relieved as he went and searched for the room.
He pressed the doorbell, but no one answered.
Shu Hui was sound asleep and Bai Luo Yin was still at the balcony. Neither heard the bell.
Gu Hai rushed out of the hotel again. He stood outside of the building and looked up. When he finally found Bai Luo Yin's room, he discovered that the lights had already been turned off.
He must have slept already?
Maybe I should…come again tomorrow?
Gu Hai hesitated for a split second, yet he still walked back in. He was afraid that by tomorrow morning, Bai Luo Yin would take notice, change his mind and relocate to a difference place. By that time, Gu Hai won't be able to find him again.
Gu Hai crouched down in front Bai Luo Yin's room and waited. He waited and smoked at the same time. He had already set his mind on waiting until daybreak.
After Bai Luo Yin finished smoking, he left the balcony and went back in. He could distinctly make out Shi Hui's cold screams.
He switched on the wall lights and saw that both Shi Hui's arms and shoulders were exposed. Under the light fixtures embedded in the wall, her bright and clear skin illuminated, appearing even more fair and delicate. The cleavage that enchanted people and entrapped them in an abyss was vaguely visible. One only needed to cunningly and secretly slide the blanket down a bit and it would be possible to see that part of the body, that would cause any man's blood vessels to bleed profusely.
Bai Luo Yin looked the other way as he bent down and pulled the quilt up, covering Shi Hui.
Just as he switched the light off, Shi Hui began to shouted again as if she was awake and then again as if unconscious.
Bai Luo Yin's hand caressed Shi Hui's forehead while bead of sweats formed, due to the fever and excessive debility. He turned and glanced, the hotel only had one bed and blanket.
He felt torn and, for a while, his heart was at a struggle, before he got on the bed. He spread his arm across the blanket and hugged Shi Hui against his chest.
In the middle of the night, Shi Hui opened her eyes and saw Bai Luo Yin's body exposed under the cool air. There was nothing covering him. She noticed that the entirety of the blanket rested on top of her. She wanted to give half the blanket to Bai Luo Yin, however, he hugged her so tightly that she couldn't even pull her arms out.
Her heart tightened as an overwhelming gush of emotions consumed her. With eyes fixated on Bai Luo Yin, his handsome face was in such close proximity, so close that she couldn't help but to pulled in even closer and on his lips, she stole a kiss.
Afterwards, perfectly contented, she closed her eyes.
Bai Luo Yin hadn't fallen asleep at all. He was conscious the entire time and continued to be so until morning.
