Shen Tian calmly looked around the Long Tree Forest, he was alone as the rest had gone in their separate ways. He found this rather amusing, the elder responsible for this said to beware of the Giant and the Golden Creatures and that they were present in every stage, but he did not see anything of a massive height or of golden color.
However he did not believe that the elder would lie to him for no reason, so he was willing to waste a bit of time in this exam. He would be bored anyway, and after this, he wanted to look at where Kaiser, the mysterious wolf who had appeared inside the Undying Cycles Realm was, maybe he was in danger.
His eyes shifted slightly as he felt a movement to his left, deep inside the forest. " I see… So the golden creatures he mentioned are the Golden Furred Monkeys, capable of reaching the peak of the Heavenly Fate Realm. However, that's not much when you compare to my actual strength right now." Shen Tian muttered.
One of the Golden Furred Monkeys was on top of a tree and Shen Tian could see its appearance in the corners of his eyesight. The Golden Furred Monkey had a pair of red-colored eyes and did not look like your average monkey. They were much taller than normal monkeys and looked far more ferocious.
With a single wave of his hand which seemed as if a whip was moving at extremely fast speeds to others, Shen Tian summoned his Dual Blades of Divine Ice and Fire and slashed both of them towards the location where the majority of the Golden Furred Monkeys were moving at the current moment.
Clearly, they were not expecting it as they were thrown away from the mere gust of wind produced from the slash. Shen Tian did not bother to use the Divine Ice or Divine Fire the Dual Blades could produce to fight the Golden Furred Monkeys, it was literally an unneeded task and he was simply too lazy.
The Golden Furred Monkeys started to panic, the strongest among them was merely at the fifth Fate of the Heavenly Fate Realm, although they were not scared of dying since they had other bodies it was still going to affect the cultivation they had worked for hundreds if not thousands of years for.
One of the Golden Furred Monkeys gathered enough courage and decided to attack Shen Tian who snorted and flicked his finger, sending the Golden Furred Monkey straight into a tree, the Golden Furred Monkey groaned as it fainted his eyes rolling and turning white, losing the previous red color rather quickly.
The Golden Furred Monkeys shivered as they refused to attack Shen Tian any further. Instead, Shen Tian sent a single glare towards them, as if he was dwelling into their memories and his lips curled. " So this is the reason why he also included 'Beware of the Giant' together with the Golden Creatures." He chuckled.
The Golden Furred Monkeys attacked participants in this exam because they were promised 'ingredients' from the elder of the Abyssal Void Sect who was responsible for the Long Tree Forest. Those ingredients could be used to create a special type of wine which the Golden Furred Monkeys cherished deeply.
Until now they had almost gathered twenty kilograms of such ingredients from the various exams the elder had organized and that was barely enough to produce a liter of that wine the Golden Furred Monkeys could create through the use of the current ingredients. The wine was only useful for those monkeys, but Shen Tian could use it to create a poison.
Shen Tian's eyes changed to the Sharingan with three tomoes as the Golden Furred Monkeys shivered in fear and in a single second tried to run away, however, due to Shen Tian's genjutsu the Golden Furred Monkeys calmed down as if they were put into a calming spell. Their eyes changed to the sharing, they were completely under the genjutsu's influence.
He ordered the pack of the Golden Furred Monkeys to go back into the tribe and gather the entire reserves of the mysterious wine they had created using the ingredients the elder had given them. The poison he could make was quite valuable and could help him when fighting difficult enemies.
"ROOAAAAR!"
A loud roar was heard in the Long Tree Forest and even the long trees started to shake despite their sturdy roots. Shen Tian raised an eyebrow, he was not affected in the slightest by this roar but he was quite curious. Was it the Giant, the so-called overlord of the Long Tree Forest who caused this reaction or someone else?
The ground started to rumble as Shen Tian put his eyes down and noticed that the ground had started to crack. He jumped into the air and continued to hover like that. He looked around him with amusement and noticed an enormous figure which was practically impossible to miss unless you were actually blind.
The enormous figure was covered in mud and dirt but you could easily see the fur behind the mud. A pair of golden eyes oversaw the entire Long Tree Forest, which brought him to the question of how could this be possibly divided into six stages when the Long Tree Forest was only this much big.
Shen Tian felt his amusement rise to another level, it was simply exciting. He could feel strength emitting from the enormous giant. The giant was at least at the peak of the Heavenly Axis Realm and although it was no match for him, it seems the exam had used its peak capabilities to make an enemy to fight him.
His body flickered as he seemingly leaped into the air, but actually what had jumped was his Wood Clone while his true body was still in the ground. He did not want to bother with fighting the Giant, he could use the Wood Clone to still get a little bit excitement out of this fight, he had even handed the Wood Clone the Dual Blades of Divine Ice and Fire.
