There weren't any surveillance cameras or guards in the bathroom.
Free activity period was the most common period when inmates resolved their feuds. At times, the feud might be resolved during meal time as well. Surprisingly, the bathroom which didn't have any surveillance cameras or guards had the least amount of fights. The reason for it was actually quite complex.
First, it was compulsory for everyone to participate in free activity period. Everyone would have gathered on the recreation field since it's impossible for the inmates to not participate.
The same was true of meal time. Although participating in meal time was not compulsory, no one could skip more than two meals at a time. There was no way an inmate could withstand the hunger by the third or fourth meal. Thus the canteen was another place everyone gathered.
Not only was taking a shower not mandatory, the inmates had to shower in turns since the bathroom had limited space. Moreover, an inmate could always avoid taking a shower if they were worried about getting ambushed. At worse, the inmate would be repulsive but still alive.
Thus, the numbers of conflicts in the bathroom were very few.
Yang Yi had been warily monitoring and waiting for the Boxing King to take revenge in the canteen and on the recreation field, yet he had never expected the Boxing King would take his revenge in the bathroom instead.
Ultimately, Yang Yi had relied on his quick-thinking and the things he had learned before being sent to prison to escape.
Although Yang Yi lacked fighting experience, he had been taught how to attack efficiently. Thus, he had gone straight for his opponents most vulnerable spots.
Yang Yi had managed to slaughter out a path of escape as a result. In fact, just Yang Yi's bellow had scared away the other two men.
Those two men must have been left outside the doorway by the Boxing King to keep watch. Although the size of the two of them wasn't exactly small, both of them were still scared away by Yang Yi's bloody mouth.
Right outside the bathroom was the locker room where the inmates changed their clothes. The few inmates who were changing there were shocked when they saw Yang Yi.
Yang Yi slowed down and started to gasp for air. He immediately went towards a locker to retrieve his clothes when he saw the other inmates looking at him.
Yang Yi wanted to put on his clothes before he left out of the locker room but a man stumbled out of the bathroom and started shouting, "Catch him! Catch him!"
It wasn't the time to be a hero. Yang Yi had escaped once. It didn't mean he would be able to escape a second time since he had no idea how many more inmates inside the locker room were the Boxing King's men.
Therefore, Yang Yi could only grab his clothes and rush out. He only started to put on his pants when he saw the guards.
"On the floor and don't move!"
Yang Yi immediately laid down on the floor after putting on his pants and shouted, "I was attacked!"
Two guards armed with guns immediately rushed into the bathroom. Another guard walked beside Yang Yi and hit him ruthlessly on his back with a truncheon, "Stop talking!"
Soon after, a large group of guards arrived and started to push the other inmates out of the locker room.
At the same time, Yang Yi was also lifted up and his hands were cuffed.
The first person being carried out was the Black man Yang Yi had bitten. A doctor wearing medical gloves was clutching his neck with both hands as they rushed passed Yang Yi.
The Boxing King was also carried out in a wheeled stretcher still curled up with both his hands clutching his crotch. He looked like a meat hill when he was carried out of the locker room.
The Boxing King was being closely watched by all the inmates. A lot of the inmates started laughing when they saw the Boxing King's miserable condition. A third man walked out supported by a guard. Not only was he struggling, he was walking unnaturally with a face full of agony.
As for the remaining two men, the one who got hit twice on the head by Yang Yi was also being carried out.
The man who Yang Yi had hit with his knee had hit his head when he fell on the floor. Thus, he was also being carried out.
Out of the five men, four of them were actually being carried out. The inmates were laughing initially but they had stopped now and looked at Yang Yi instead. All of them looked perplexed.
That's because a man who was not bulky or robust and looked more like the victim had actually brought down the Boxing King who was known for being fierce. In fact, he had brought down five men.
It wasn't the process but the outcome that matters. Yang Yi had emerged victorious in a five on one fight.
What's more, Yang Yi was still carrying a very savage expression. All the inmates was staring at his bloodthirsty eyes and his jaw which was wide open.
Prison followed the law of the jungle. Only the strong were bestowed their rightful status. Consequently, less and less inmates dared to stare at Yang Yi and started to avoid Yang Yi's gaze instead.
Even the Boxing King's men were avoiding his gaze. Originally, these men were glaring at Yang Yi but they were later frightened by Yang Yi's temperament.
There was a misunderstanding here and a rather big one at that.
Although Yang Yi's hands were cuffed, he still looked ferocious due to his bloody mouth. As blood still seemed to be flowing out of his mouth, others thought Yang Yi still intended to bite people.
Actually, Yang Yi didn't want to close his mouth due the foul blood taste of blood lingering in his mouth. He kept it open to avoid swallowing the blood.
Blood seemed to be continuously coming out of Yang Yi's mouth since he had intentionally been spitting out his saliva.
Regardless, the process wasn't important. What matters was the outcome.
Even if Yang Yi didn't gain the inmates respect, they would be apprehensive of him. Now these inmates would be afraid of him.
Yang Yi was also taken away and brought straight to the place where they kept all the problematic inmates.
Although fights between inmates didn't happen every day, it was still a common occurrence. The senior guard in charge of handling the fights was disgusted when he saw Yang Yi's bloody mouth and said, "Let him go wash up a bit."
That's exactly what Yang Yi wanted. He immediately went to wash his mouth by gargling repeatedly.
Yang Yi still felt there was a lingering taste in his mouth after he had finished washing his mouth. He was then sent back to sit in front of the senior guard.
The senior guard stared at Yang Yi for a very long time before he finally said, "One inmate's carotid artery was ruptured. One had his balls crushed. One had a severe concussion while another had a concussion and a ruptured spleen. The last one can only walk right now with the use of crutches. Well, if I don't count the one who needs to walk with crutches for some time, there are still four heavily injured inmates. What can I say other than you have gotten yourself into a lot of trouble."
With a sigh, Yang Yi said, "Sir, I'm not the one who caused the trouble. I was alone and there were five of them. I wouldn't have gone to mess with them."
The senior guard smiled, "You actually came out in tact while the other five had to be carried out. Basically, the outcome is all that matters. Trust me when I say you're going to be miserable. You're going to be very miserable indeed."
