Yang Yi was rather shocked when he saw the knife. Even still, he reacted quickly.

After being stabbed the first time, Yang Yi didn't allow the opponent to stab him again. He punched the man in the eye. Before he raised his leg and kicked at the Black man's knee. He followed the kick with a punch aimed at the man's temple as he fell forward.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Yang Yi moved around agilely as he attacked. He defeated one opponent after another and eventually lost track of how many opponents he had brought down. It was only after he couldn't see anyone standing in front of him did he finally realize that all of his opponents were already lying on the ground.

An actual fight was much more tiring than training. Although Yang Yi's stamina couldn't be considered superb, it definitely wasn't poor. Even still, Yang Yi was huffing and puffing with every breath.

Yang Yi was horribly trampled by Zhang Yong during their sparring matches every day. Thus, he had no idea how much he had improved. Yang Yi was shocked because there were about a dozen men lying on the ground wailing in pain.

"F***! I'm actually that good at fighting?!" immediately after making the remark, Yang Yi felt a sharp pain in his back. However, there wasn't anyone standing behind him when he turned around. It was then followed by another sharp pain in his chest, followed by another in his leg. Yang Yi collapsed on the floor as a result.

"Stay down! Don't move! You enjoy eating bullets, right? I will shoot whoever moves!" A guard shouted. He was standing on the second floor of the canteen. His gun along with those of his colleagues were all aimed at Yang Yi.

Not only were they in Pelican Bay State Prison, they were in the felony section. Thus, the guards would start shooting without hesitation the moment a fight broke out. Of course, the guards only used rubber bullets first as warning shots. Yang Yi would be dead by now if the guards had used real bullets.

Although it was just a rubber bullet, it still hurt like hell when it hit someone. It was even said that rubber bullets were much more painful than actual bullets because they couldn't penetrate human skin thus the full kinetic force of the bullet was applied directly to the area being targeted.

It was so painful that Yang Yi wanted to roll on the ground but he didn't dare to do so. The guards fired rubber bullets as a warning, he feared what would come next would be a real bullet.

Although most of the Black men were wailing in pain, there was one who was holding his right arm with his left hand and screaming, "Doctor! Doctor! Take me to a doctor! My arm is broken! It hurts a lot!"

A squad of guards rushed in with truncheons and shields. However, they no longer needed to control the situation since the fight was already over. Later, one of the guards approached Yang Yi and without any rhyme or reason started to hit him on his back and thighs.

"Stop! Don't hit anymore! Enough!" before Yang Yi had been hit by the rubber bullets, he could have easily defeated the guard hitting him as well. However, he wouldn't dare to do so even if he could still defeat the guard. He was after all in prison. No matter how fierce or ruthless one was, they would only dare to act against other inmates. Anyone who dared to attack any of the guards would be done for.

Yang Yi was being pummeled because he was the root cause of the whole situation. Surprisingly, the guard stopped hitting Yang Yi after he shouted out subconsciously. He was looking anxious and angry at the same time. He took a deep breath and exclaimed, "Drag them all away!"

After more than four months, Yang Yi was finally going to see Owen again. Yang Yi had been left waiting for almost two hours. During the waiting period, he was being guarded by two guards. They only gave him unfriendly looks and didn't beat him or curse him.

Yang Yi was rather amazed they didn't attempt to teach him a slight lesson. It wasn't that Yang Yi was itching to be hit. It was just that inmates in prison who dared to cause trouble were usually taught a lesson. It wasn't exactly normal for things to end just after being hit a few times.

Finally, Owen arrived obviously furious, "Cuff him to the chair. Both of you can leave after that!"

Owen's expression was angry. His entire face was contorted with the force of it, "Fuck! Didn't I warn you not to cause problems?! Do you think you can do whatever you damn well please?! You're wrong! Absolutely wrong!!"

Owen couldn't wait to berate Yang Yi. He walked right in front of him and continued in a fierce tone, "Seventeen inmates. All of them injured. Two of them have broken arms. Two of them have broken nose. Another four suffered dislocations. You're good at fighting, right? Right!?"

Yang Yi sounded apologetic when he said, "I think twenty thousand dollars is a good number, don't you think so?"

Owen was stunned for a moment before he quickly lowered his voice and said, "Are you planning… No, this won't do!"

Yang Yi took a look around before he whispered, "There are only the two of us here. I think this was just a small altercation among inmates. Don't you think this was just another common conflict that inmates sometimes have?"

Owen's expression was downright ugly but he didn't start yelling, "Common? Most of them need to be admitted to the hospital! This type of large fight will definitely have to be investigated. Do you think…"

"Sir, does thirty thousand dollars sound better? I really like this number, what about you?"

Owen just snorted before walking back to his seat. After he sat down, he calmly said, "I prefer the number fifty thousand much more."

Yang Yi gave an apologetic smile, "Thirty thousand dollars. It was just a common fight. None of them are dead or heavily injured. So, thirty thousand dollars is a good number."

Owen solemnly said, "Thirty thousand dollars. It sounds very nice but I would only like that thirty thousand dollars if I owned them. I don't like numbers which have nothing to do with me."

Yang Yi smiled and replied, "There's actually an account out there which has the thirty thousand dollars you like in it."

"So, when can I have my thirty thousand dollars?"

"Well, let me make a phone call."

Owen let out a breath as he looked at Yang Yi, "What's your purpose in being here? If you have thirty thousand dollars, you shouldn't be here in the first place."

Yang Yi chuckled as he said, "Of course, there's a reason. Not only did I not need to commit a crime to get put in here, I even got to make some side income as well. So, what do you think I'm here for?"

Owen composedly said, "What's your real intention in coming here? Start talking!"

Yang Yi suddenly recalled what Chris told him. He was so busy since he moved to the felony section that he had totally forgotten about the matter with Chris. Just as he was about to lie, he remembered what Chris told him.

He was about to treat the person he was going to lie to like a fool.
