V1 Prologue Wilderness
The sun was like a greedy tyrant, without any restraint, showering extremely hot light rays with its full strength. This had madly reduced the moisture of the desert to nearly nothing. Endless yellow sand spread across the whole land, devouring every little flavour of color. Boiling steam was erupting to the air from within the desert. Everything in this world was all mixed up, the sky and land were all fused into one color.
Man’s fragmented traces were all stacked up layer by layer into a mountain range, as if tens of thousands of steel dinosaurs were all buried in the desert with their backs being exposed. After undergoing a long duration of erosion, many of them were all rusted. It was really hard to imagine those devastated building frame fragments once stood in a magnificent and brilliant way.
Tens of thousands of years back then, there was still a city here.
Tens of thousands of years later, they had turned into ruins.
Fifty years ago, this place had become the campsite of scavengers.
Who still remembers that this used to be a place full of color, that was extremely extravagant and prosperous?
Who still remembers that here, tall buildings were all over the place, hovering cars flew around and there was the presence of arrays within the sky?
Who still remembers that this boundless desert was once called the “Atlantic Ocean”, a beautiful never ending ocean with beautiful artificial islands scattered around with numerous cities?
Who still remembers that a very long time ago, this place had an ancient name, however this name had been swallowed by the river of time which caused this name to be completely forgotten — New York!
